Luke answered all my questions- he was wonderful
When will you be open to face to face meeting?
This Social Security office is terrible and very poorly run. I applied for a replacement SS card for my son and the process has been a disaster. I received the material I submitted back promptly, less than two weeks after I sent them in, which was outstanding. After waiting several weeks for the card I would call in for an update. When you call this location you get a service provider, who tells you they are going to check the status and then they hang up on you. I would eventually get through to someone who then told me they were sorry, they did have the application, everything was submitted correctly and they would promise they 'would work on it today to finalize.' After waiting a week or two I would call back to update the status and the person would again admit it was not done and they would 'work on it to complete it today.' This has happened two times now and the card is still not done. When I ask to speak to a supervisor they just tell me they are the ones working on the card and there is no need to speak to a supervisor. The way our government treats tax payers and their pace and professionalism in their work is horrendous.
I have tried to apply online, but with no luck.
The SSI website provided me with excellent services via their website. Thank you, Sarah T. Dosunmu
