Absolutely ridiculous that I can not set an appointment to speak to someone about getting information as an executor on a deceased family member. Much better to have an 85 year person stand in line for 2 hours to handle this. Come on!

I tried calling but got hung up on the first time then was told to call back later in the day or week and then hung up on again. My kids both get SSI and I need to speak with someone about it.

I called the national SS phone number regarding some conflicting bennifit amounts. The representative recommended I call the local office. I called. I was waiting on the phone for 2 hrs 40min. I was hung up on. I called back and the recording said the office closed at 4:00. Really? This is my most disappointing experience ever with a 'Help Line'. I would just bag this whole thing but after working 50 years and paying into the program I should be afforded earned benefits and some respect. This is just the beginning of my SS journey. It appears the Bvertonn SS organization is in need of more customer service training.

After being appointed Conservator for my mother (who has Alzheimer's), I called and made an appointment to change the account her SS benefit was deposited into (needs to be the conservatorship account now). I waited weeks for my appointment, then the agent I talked to told me she couldn't help me until I faxed my Letters of Conservatorship and a form to her... which I did. She told me they would contact me once they had it. I guess I should not have been surprised when I never heard back. Now I am starting this process over again. If they had told me when I made the appointment exactly what to send and where, it would have been helpful. Then, if the agent had actually responded once I faxed the required info... well, that would have been amazing!

I was trying to figure out some information for my child's name change on a social security card. It was a very frustrating experience and ended with your agent yelling at me. I asked them to stop, they didn't, I raised my voice to match theirs and again asked them to stop yelling at me. I even said please. It ended with your agent hanging up on me. This, after a long wait on hold to speak to someone, is simply unacceptable. I still have no answers and am frustrated, but don't have time to call again today as I was on a break when I called. Maybe some better customer service training would be useful.

Good afternoon, I asked my SSN on August 12 but so far, I haven't received it, I would like what should I do to get information about this. Thanks for your help

  11. Jun 26, 2019

all i wanted was a fax number, and it would have taken 30 minutes to speak to someone to get it. there should be a more efficient way to handle simple request like that.

  12. Feb 23, 2018

Waited two and half hours got the receipt to receive my replacement card in the mail never received it been over 6 to 8 weeks called them and have to go in again and wait! soooo frustrating.
