Terrible, and usually incorrect, service from social security. Ongoing 9 month problem that THEY caused and still no resolution.
I would like to make an appointment. I have tried calling several days and end up on hold for 30 minutes to 45 minutes with no-one answering.
Came to change my name on my card after I got married, waited out side in the rain and was told they don't do that... it would be nice if it said that on your website
Called to speak with an agent. Sat on hold for 45 minutes and then was disconnected. These are you tax dollars at work.
I need to replace my social security card.
How do I check on my application?
I am wondering if I can apply for new social security card here.
I would like to do an in person visit with a counselor
I called today to seek advice regarding correction on my social security records, one of your staff was rude and unprofessional. I'm seeking if you can review his bad attitude towards the public when seeking for help in regards to their social security issues.
I tried to call to correct a mistake made by an agent during a beneficiary payment, and I waited for nearly an hour and then the phone line was cut off, This has happened before. I would like to know why the offices are still closed and why the customer service is practically nonexistent. This is a public disgrace.
Long hold, representative hung up on me, all I want is an appointment.
The lady I spoke with was very courteous.
I called to make an appointment at the Brooklyn Center Office. I was told I could not make an appointment anywhere. Additionally I was told that I would have to mail in identification (driver license or passport with a form SS-5. I asked for a received was given a local telephone. I was given the number for the Minneapolis office. I asked if I could have the number to the Brooklyn Center office because it was less than halfway to the Minneapolis Office the individual (male) stated that the Minneapolis office was my office based on my zip code. Then he hung up. I called the Minneapolis office and the recording kept repeating the office hours and never stated that someone would help me or answer the phone. I stayed on the phone from 2:45 PM until 3:13 when the phone was answered. The individual stated that I called the benefits area and that the Minneapolis office was open from 9AM until 3 PM for walk-ins and appointments were not available.
Bad customer service! super disrespectful and hung up on me after being on hold for a long time! He was very short tempered and kept cutting me off!
I have been trying to get a in-person appointment and cannot get through on the phone.
I am SO CRAZY frustrated with this process. I married and submitted by original social security card AND marriage license IN PERSON to the Minneapolis SS office on 5-12-2021 and have heard NOTHING. It has been 9 weeks. I was told 6-8 when I was able to talk to someone. I have tried multiple times to contact someone in the Minneapolis office with NO success. This is the worst feeling ever. I just want my documents so that I can legally change my name. HORRIBLE service/system.
Are you open for the public?
The rep just hung up on me after being on hold 40 minutes arguing with me about my account i am beyond discussed
I wrote a comment similar to the other one regarding the call requesting a social security number. I, too, feel uncomfortable leaving my social security with an outside call resource and will undoubtedly have a very difficult time getting connected with a local office resource!
I would like my 2018 social security income mailed to my home.
I've received several calls today from someone identifying herself as 'agent Marie Quinn' calling on phone number 1-214-308-2239. She says that my 'social security number has been suspended for some reasons' and that I should call he back at that number. I assume it's a scam and i have no intention of calling her back, but I thought you'd like to know about this.
