This is the worst government entity that we have ever had to deal with. My mother in law is disabled has been since 2020. We have been trying to get her social security disability. We spoke to D not that long ago and she advised any time my mother in law is moved or transferred from a rehab/hospital/home that her address needs to be updated and that my husband will need to be a rep payee. Well that paperwork has not been filed through you. So now we wonder is he going to be in trouble. The wait times and negligence and unwillingness of this government entity to have in person appointments (we tried to schedule one) is asinine. Do better, find another system, train your employees better, make it easier and more accessible to reach someone with more complicated cases like ours.
I need get the social security in Carlisle
This is so unfair my documents got delivered to you guys safe and sound and had no problems getting to you and it still has not been returned to me safely in the mail. I am going on a trip soon already paid and now I might not be able to because yet my prove of documents isn’t back; if that isn’t back what will happen to my social?
When are you going to open your office for the public? I need to talk to someone face to face. I don't trust doing this online.
Excellent support and customer service thank you
My daughter needs a SS card Replacement for a job. When she called the SS employee referred her to the Dropbox and said only emergencies would be considered. The woman literally told her the only thing that qualifies as an emergency was an immigration issue. Wow. Not for US Citizens? What do you know that we don’t that offices are still closed. PA is 75% open and we are all back to work.
I recently got married and am looking for the proper social security office I need to go to in order to change my name. I live in Lemoyne (17043) and was directed to this location while searching online. Is this the office I need to go to in order to change my name? Thank you, Emily
Open your office already for Christ's sake. Even banks have face to face appointments. I don't trust applying for retirement benefits on line and desire a face to face meeting. Governor Wolfe is a pathetic example to be following and having to adhere to.
It's past time your office is opened to the public. I would think applying for social security requires essential employees. I don't trust applying on line and would like a face to face neeting ti apply.
ALCON; I've been trying to make an appointment with the local SS office in Carlisle, PA. The sites available always refer me to call the 1-800 number, where then I have at least a 35minute wait to speak with anyone!! Why is there not a number to call directly to the local office!? I am disputing the balance of an overpayment and have numerous documents I need to have reviewed with a local representative from Social Security. Will I receive an answer to these questions? As well, the MY SOCIAL SECURITY site does NOT offer a way for me to address my issues and/or concerns for this matter! Why not? Even the so-called 'CHAT help' refers me to a run-around-call your local office! I want these questions answered and am reluctantly hoping they will be forthcoming.
