I am one that never writes reviews or complains. I am a very easy going and positive person, but I am very frustrated with SSA. I have been trying to process a name change since I got married. Everyone that I have spoken to has been completely rude and not helpful. I was told I needed to make an appointment for a name change, so I tried calling to make an appointment. FWB answered their phone 1 out of 10 times. They started to make me an appointment, until I told them my zip code. I was transferred to the Panama City office. I was told that I could not come in for a name change, and that I have to mail my documents in. Online states that you CAN go in for a name change. FWB was willing to do it, so why is it different between the two locations? I had my documents overnight with a tracking number so I would know when it was delivered. I have called and and called and no one will answer. All I want to do is have this information processed so I can get the rest of my things in order with my new name. I need my new documentation for a mortgage loan closing. Social Security is making this process EXTREMELY DIFFICULT. It seems like complete laziness to me. They send you in complete circles and everyone has a different answer.
I can I change banks for my check. I need to get it out of Maryland and in my Florida bank. Thank you
I need to schedule an appointment to apply for the SSN to my son that has his greencard now. I called a couple of days ago and someone said that you’ll returned the call this last Friday to schedule the appointment but no one called me back.
They are horrible at this office I keep getting hung up on. I changed my my last name to my married name. And they sent me a receipt about it, on the paper that they sent me told me that any documents that I sent them which includes my marriage license wasn’t sent back like it was supposed to be. They said call wait time is long and I understand that but they start talking and then immediately hang up
I had a stroke around October 19th 2019. Someone with ss disability and set me up with a doctor appointment to verify my stroke. On December 10th2020 I had a mri and I would like to let him know about the mri . Im not having any luck over the phone.
My fiancee tried to talk to this office about getting a replacement SS card...he's been unsuccessfully trying to obtain proof of identity for 2 years...and they were completely rude. The calls are supposed to be recorded and someone should play this one back. Representative called him an idiot and also said that he should have stayed in prison. Is this really acceptable behavior? Is this how we are treating people who are seeking help in trying to obtain success in life?
My bank account has been compromised so the bank issued me a new account number yesterday. I changed my bank account number on the Social Security web site but it will only start the new account number as of January 2021. I am worried about the check that will be sent out this coming Wednesday 11/18 and the one being sent in December.
The social security office in Panama City FL should be completely overhauled with procedures, and people. I actually got a human to answer my call. I am a terminally ill cancer patient. The young man did not give me his name but was very rude. I ask about a dire need appointment to come to this office with my designated representative to fast track or get some sort of immediate financial help. This agent told me there are no appointments for this office. This is a direct contradiction to what the phone recording states. My designee has contacted this office and the Pensacola office and found my application was back logged, and had not even been adjudicated. I assume, because I am terminally ill, social security administration doesn't give a damn, because if I die, the payments evaporate. My next call is to Congressman Neal Dunn. If there is a director or manager in this office?
I need to update my ssi

I would like to know if your agency has in assistance to help men who have been released from prison? Thank you Counselor Carter, Tony...
I think I just got a scam call from the following number 844 244 3310. They said they were the Social Security Office and my social security number had something placed on it. I didn't answer or call back but received it as a recorded message.
Right now I am holding on a line, no person responding. I called and left a call-back number. The call came back but after the message that I should hold and someone would speak to me -- I'm still holding after several minutes. Nothing. I need to talk with a real person and need to do that soon.
Do you have a help sheet for me to give to her in case I kick the bucket? If yes, do I need to schedule an appointment to answer some basic questions, or may I just pick it up? Thanks, R. B. Privett
I have been trying to get in touch with some one to discuss how does it work to get your ssi switched over to your name when moving to another state
I am trying to make an appointment with the SSA office here in Panama City because I got a letter that looks like it's from SSA but when I call I always get a voice mail and they want me to leave my SS#. I'm hesitant to do that because there is so much identity theft. So I want to make an appointment and it makes me give my SS# over the phone again. I can't find a way to make an appointment online and it says not to come without an appointment. I guess I have to drive over there to make an appointment and then go back. So I'm not very happy, but I guess it is what it is.
