May I ask how to make an appointment for the registration of SSN?

  2. Sep 9, 2022

I spoke to one of your ssa representative! I wanted additional information concerning Medicare plan. And, I ask to set & appointment with my locate office in Houston area. They refuse to set & appointment to visit the office on 10703 Stancliff St, Houston, Tx 77099. I felt they were preventing from speaking to someone in my local office.

I turned in my paperwork at this office the day they opened back up with original documentations. I put it in a envelope as they requested and put it in the dropbox for a gender name change, is still today they have not processed my paperwork or anything, called the 800 number they say that nothing has been put in the system, this is ridiculous and I have business to take care of as far as changing my information record. I cannot even obtain new bank card or anything because they need a new Social Security card.

With no direct line listed, you will be on hold with the national hotline for at least an hour. They won't be any help probably because nothing is being logged as in process. They have had my documents for weeks now and I have had no status updates. If you go in person, there are cars parked alongside the street for two blocks and a line around the building with close to 200 people in it...and it's not running like a Chik-fil-a line either. If you dropped off documents or mailed them in, they are gone now. You will not see these documents for at least a year, if you ever see them again. Remember, there's no degree required for pushing papers and checking boxes. These people do not care to service you efficiently. They are there to be slow and collect their hourly wages.

No one answers the phone. Tired of calling for days. I need my social security cards. It's been over 1 month since I dropped my documents and nothing. This is really disgraceful. We cannon go inside nor get an interview. What is going on with this office?

I HAVE BEEN ON THE PHONE FPR 4 HOURS AND THEN IT GETS DISCONNECTED AS NO AGENT COMES TO THE PHONE. THIS IS FRUSTRATING AS I AM TRYING TO GET AN ORIGINAL SSN NUMBER AND CARD . THERE SHOULD BE A BETTER WAY FOR PEOPLE TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT ONLINE NOT WAIT HOURS AND GET NO HELP.

I placed important original documents in the drop box at the field office on Stancliff about 3 weeks ago and need those documents returned please.....a driver's license and proof of Nalization. I used the envelope provided and was marked 7SC (Stringfield). I understand MS Stringfield has not yet recieved them and aam at a loss on what to do now.

On hold for almost an hour agent was unhelpful and it was a waste of my time. You have people standing outside in the cold only to be told make an appointment online; you cannot make an appointment online, there’s nowhere to make it, you call your main office Number.

  21. Sep 19, 2020

I applied for a replacement social security card on June 13. I called late July and i got the documents sent back to me a week later on august with a letter dated August 11, 2020 and stamped that it was received on June19, 2020. the letter stated that all necessary copies of both my work authorization card and Texas ID (documents which i had sent and received) had been made. However, it is currently September 19, 2020 and i have not received my social security replacement card. Every time i call the Stancliff office in Houston and speak to an agent i am informed that nothing has been processed yet and and then promised that an email has been sent to a supervisor informing them of my situation. This has happened for the past month and a half and I still haven't received any mail or call backs. At one point I received the extension number to a supervisor and even though I called multiple times at different days and times leaving my name and phone number and explaining the situation, it always went to voicemail and I never received a callback.
