The Social Security Administration's (SSA) administrative appeals operation is one of the largest administrative judicial systems in the world. SSA issues more than half a million hearing and appeal dispositions each year. Under the Office of Hearings Operations (OHO), administrative law judges (ALJ) conduct hearings and issue decisions. Within the Office of Analytics, Review, and Oversight (OARO), the Appeals Council considers appeals from hearing decisions and acts as the final level of administrative review for the agency.

Trying to make an appointment since they do not want you to just show up. Have tried for 3 days to get through on their 800#. Have been hung up on 22 times, have been put on hold for up to 20 minutes then hung up on 5 times. How can we make an appointment if they do not answer the phone. I guess you just show up and then make an appointment.
Disabled Veteran unable to reach anyone at either SSA number to make an appointment. Unable to access internet. Veteran has tried twice to go to the Huntington WV SSA Office to see if could get an appointment set. Was refused at SSA office from setting appointment or talking briefly to a Supervisor. The Security Guard kicked the Veteran out. I only need a annual statement of his Social Security benefits.
This office could not have done a worse job with my disability claim. No one in the offices. When you call it is a nationwide rep that just gives an appointment that they never keep. I have been trying to apply for 6 months and I have yet to speak to an actual worker in Huntington. The web site isn't any better. One day it says I have a claim the next I don't. One day I have been denied because they have not received anything from me. Next day I can appeal but only by giving new information dates since the denial. They never received anything and they won't accept anything or talk to me. I have already lost months of benefits and who knows if I will ever get to make an actual claim.
I have sent my passport & I-20 to SSA almost 3 weeks before. The problem is I did receive a document that refused to provide me with SSN (this is what I need) . However, they did not send my passport and I-20 back together. That’s weird. I have no idea why you send these two certificates back to me together? I did not receive these two important certificates till now. Because of the epidemic situation, I couldn't get through the phone all the time.
Need a replacement card just moved to Kentucky from Florida miss place card how do go about getting a new card send certified mail my Florida license. I start a job soon.
Yikes! I just hung on the phone for 40 minutes and was cut off. I'm currently beginning the process again to try again.
