The Modesto office NEEDS a covered waiting area outside for those waiting in line to enter the building one at a time. Whether it’s hot or raining, shelter is very much needed. This covered waiting area should have been added when the building underwent renovation several years ago. However, it’s not too late to remedy this unfortunate oversight.

I have left 6 messages in different times. I was expecting a call from someone on this date for the annual SSI review and eligibility. No one has called me back and have great concern that her SSI may be disrupted due to not hearing back from someone in your office.

Hello! I need to apply for my retirement benefits from France, as I am the citizen of France. I need to make an appointment at SSA to start the process. How can I do it and what documents I need to provide?

Wouldnt even let my children and I file an application for survivors benefits after my husband and our sole financial support died while saving a child. My family is already broken without SSA field office staff descretely depriving us of our constitutional rights by refusing to let us even submit an application. If my family was broken already I feel as though we are shattered into a million messy pieces without ever hope of being put back together. May god show you more mercy than they have shown my family.

I need a new card. My wallet was stolen with it inside. There is supposed to be a way to do this online. Your website is not allowing me to do so. I cannot go to the office, because it is closed. So since the office is closed and your website is unnavigable. Thank you for making this so convenient.

This was one of the worst experiences in a long while. I went to the Modesto Office to change my name after getting married. The staff was rude from the moment I walked through the door. Everone I encountered was awful. Thank goodness this isn’t a place I need to go often. Maybe some professional development and/or people skills would help.

Unbelievable! My daughter is returning from a deployment overseas and needs to get a Social Security card for her daughter, who was born in Australia. I tried to make an appointment for her to do this at the local office but was told they do not schedule appointments for new cards; it is on a walk-in basis only. How stupid! She has a young baby and must wait 'her turn' so she can do what is required by law. What happened to serving those who serve our country?
