I went to the Social Security office today for the 11th time re: missing check and numerous phone calls. Finally after getting the run around for 6 months I was told by this pleasant and professional gentleman to return tomorrow to get a one time check. I have had mostly pleasant agents but today was best.
This review is for the person at the Ontario Social Security Office, who had my mother hysterical and in tears over the phone. People call the SS office for assistance, after putting in a lifetime of hard work. You don't treat people the way you treated my mother. For starters, the SS employee answered the phone by saying, 'what do you want?' Who does that? She then proceeded to bully my mother who needed assistance and then hung up on her. To that SS employee, you are awful. The people deserve better. Check the call on 8/10/21 approx 9:40 am.
First off, I think everyone here needs to take a breather dealing with the ongoing pandemic. Now like it or not, everyone here is calling this office to ask for help of some sort. For the people at the social security office helping, it can't be easy talking to everyone, sometimes being able to help and sometimes not, regardless of which still having to receive and swallow the crap everyone gives them. Lets face it it's not a easy job. I know everyone has different experiences, my experience was actually quite pleasant. The person that assisted me for a brand new application was wonderful. He was very thorough with me, and answered my questions with more information than I requested... Given that... I think everyone should cut these people a break....
Horrible customer service. I wish I knew the lady's name that answered the phone because she was very rude and offered no help. Just snobby and condesending.
The representative I talked to today was just so rude and short with me, I was being as kind as possible but she kept snapping at me if I spoke. I was asking my roommate to finish my call because she was openly annoyed with my lack of knowledge of what she needed (I offered more than she wanted to know) Ultimately she said she was going to have someone else help me, I had to apologize for speaking without permission. I had my phone on speaker- my roommate couldn’t believe her tone with me. She then said she was going to put me on hold. She didn’t put me on hold, she hung up on me. I was relieved to get a different rep when I called back. However, clearly, they both sound like they hate their jobs.

I need to get a replacement social security card. I heard that I need to go to a nearest social security office. What do I need to go with the filled out application form? Is my driver’s license is enough for identification requirements? Please advice . Thank you.

I am receiving social security and working but preparing to retire. CALSTIRS said I should see if I qualify for social security part A. I believe I have part B” but I would prefer confirmation of that as well. It would be best if If I can have an appointment either in person or by phone.
Im not experienced with the people or the runnings of other S.S. Offices but the Holt office in Ontairo California has alway been very attentive to its citizens, yet still moving things along quickly. Most important, they always seem to have the answers and/or have never failed to respond with an answer or avenue in an timley maner. However, return calls from your message center arent very reliable and not having a after hours message center for the customers who have letters with active buiness. (Perhaps the last 4 of the social security number). ** Today I cancelled every5hing and stayed home for the scheduled call and when it hadn't arrived after one hour I left 2 call back requests in your 'call back' center and nothing.
