I waited over 50-minutes to connect with someone on the phone to just make an appointment. Horrible wait...Disappointing.
I had to mail my birth certificate, my original SSN card, marriage certificate, etc. to change my name. I never received my documents back after I received my new card.
I contacted JB about an issue I needed resolved. Initially I sent my documentation to JB, when I could not contact her I contacted the Placerville SSA office and was told to fax the information to the office, this way if I called for information anyone would be able to look at my file and help me. I still do not know the status. In the meantime I have left voice messages with no response, I sent e-mails with no response, I contacted the SSA office several times and spoke with different individuals who would not help because it was JB case but they would send her a message. Yesterday I left a message for the manager, and guess what? No response. I called again today, the individual I spoke with said if he got any information he would call me back. I bet I call them first. This is incredibly rude and lazy behavior.
Is the Placerville, CA office open yet?
I called social sec. office and then wait time was an hour and half. Decided to put Placerville office, got through in 4 minutes and my question was answered almost immediately. The representative was, knowledgeable and very attentive. Great service.
My wife and I were enjoying our coffee waiting for for a call from DR. The phone rang twice and I picked up and answered hello, 3 times, and then it just hung up. I am doing business with 2 other federal and state agencies, and sit on hold for hours only to have them hang up, once after I gave my social security number and contact info. She never called back, even though I had been on hold for several hours. It would be nice to have a job, where you really didn't have to do your job and get money for nothing. But, no not really. I love performing at my best, and doing the best I can. I'm finding that civil servants have a carte blanche attitude where abuse and negligence have no deterring policy, so our system of redress is futile. I realize people in official capacity are overwhelmed. But they don't have to lie.
I have moved and need to make a change of address. I have tried to do an account online and the questions were all wrong and access to create an account denied. I & my 93 yr old mother have tried calling over and over and over again and I cannot get thru....the wait is long and the calls get dropped. We have only a cell phone service. I understand the offices are closed because of COVID....therefore I am unable to make a change of address for myself or my 93 year old mother I care fore. Please allow me to do this in person at Placerville Social Security office.
I like talking to the SSI workers that's not the problem and they do help answer my question that's not the problem the problem is that I was on the phone for 2 hours and 35 minutes if you had call back we're my phone would be freed up I could have made other phone calls that's all I'm asking is for call back it's easier for people to do what they need to do Thank you Robin Maulolo
