I need to update my social security card to reflect my new married name. Can I do this online?

  2. Mar 30, 2022

I have been trying to call the SSA office at least 3 times a week for close to three months. I set on hold for sometime two hours. Same thing every time. Either the call will just drop, or after waiting for hours I'm told all representatives are busy please call back. I just can't get through. I really need to report a change of address.

  3. Jan 18, 2022

I need to change my address. Is there a form or can I get an appointment to come in to do that? If a form, where do I get it?

  4. Dec 28, 2021

I wish I could give 0 stars. Open by appointment only yet you can’t even schedule an appointment.

  5. Dec 7, 2021

What is the point of having a phone number if no one ever picks it up or calls you back?

  6. Nov 19, 2021

Are you actually open at local SS office, or is it only by appt.??

  7. Nov 19, 2021

How can I respond to a letter within 10 days if they will not answer phone...it's absolutely ridiculous.

  8. Oct 21, 2021

Answer your phone , don't disconnect the number without replacing it . How can a government agency be closed 24&7, I have been trying to reach this office for over 3 weeks.

  9. Jul 7, 2021

I have been trying deal with a Medicare problem and the fact that the office is STILL CLOSED TO APPOINTMENTS IS ABSURD. Get the shot. Open for business. Return a call. Book appointments. Resolve issues.

To Whom it May Concern: I am very disappointed and quite upset that the local social security offices have not been opened up for the public, even by appointment. I need to process a name change, and am definitely not comfortable sending it in via mail as these offices are notorious for losing some information they receive. I have been waiting to process this since March, and feel that such necessary businesses as the social security office should be open, at least by appointment. It is ridiculous that malls and bars and restaurants can be open, but a necessary office such as yours is not. Please look into this and allow patrons to make appointments to come into the office, of course wearing masks. Thank you.

  18. Jul 7, 2020

Hello- I need to do a name change (I was married in Feb) is the office taking in person appointments?

  19. Jun 13, 2020

  24. Apr 8, 2019

I keep getting calls from 1 402 983 9896 saying he's from social security and my benefits are being suspended for 9 yrs. What is happening? Is this true or a scam ?

  25. Aug 4, 2014

This office hangs up when answering more often than not. You need to either provide a way to leave voice messages for a call back or an email address. People have real lives and listening to 10 minutes of useless recording only to have the phone go to a busy signal is not acceptable.
