I have tried to call the Social Security office - I was on hold for an hour and a half but it was the National # and I couldn't make an appointment with them. I tried to call one of the local # and I was hung up on.
I was waiting on a call for over 30 minutes on hold. It was insane. It took so long that they stopped playing the elevator music and I was just sitting in silence. Not my favorite experience, not going to lie
I'm hoping your phone system will be fixed when you re-open next week - as right now it keeps hanging up after waiting on hold. I need to set up an appointment for my infant son's SSN process, since we can't mail in our passports as we use them to travel (we live abroad). What is the best way to set up an in-person appointment to get my child his number? It's needed for me to file taxes. Thanks.
I go thru a ton of recordings then it says trying not connect then it just rings and rings and rings
THANK YOU FOR MY SOCIAL SECURITY CHECK FOR THE MONTH OF DECEMBER APPRECIATE ALL THAT YOU HAVE DONE TO HAVE MY CHECK IN PERFECT ORDER. ENJOY YOUR HOLIDAY SEASON
Trying to get back on my ssi
I am going thru the craziest part of my life and I never Would have ever seen it coming! I need to report identity theft; request and appt and a new social security number and card.
Good morning. I am interested in making an appointment at the Salt Lake City (SSA) office to review my benefits in preparation for retirement. My husband passed away in 2004 and his pension was transferred to me. I would like to understand any impact his pension has given that I have always had substantial earnings each year and SS deductions have been taken from my wages.
