I have had to go through the process of calling this place more times then I would like to count in the last 3 business days. Desperately trying to get an appointment set up to bring my documents in for them to copy and give right back to me and confirm that was sufficient. Because over a month ago now I mailed in what I thought was the correct documents, received those back in the mail a week later then THREE WEEKS after that while I’m waiting to get my new social in the mail, I receive a letter stating they couldn’t issue me a social because I didn’t send enough documents. So I wasted an entire month waiting for a social I wasn’t getting. I’ve now called multiple times to set up an appointment to just bring the documents in person which they’ve told me I qualify to do, they take my name and number and social and tell me the lady in the office will call me and she never does! The gentleman I spoke to today was so rude, wouldn’t let me finish a sentence. Tried telling me I should just mail everything in even after explaining to him why I would not do that. This is absolutely ridiculous. I’m disgusted by the type of customer service our government agencies have. They may complain that people are rude to them but maybe they should take a step back and think about how they are treating people and how unprofessional they are!. I’m so upset that I have to continue to deal with them because after over a month at this point I’ve made ZERO progress in changing my name. Good luck to you if you have to do any business with them.
I called to speak with someone about getting a replacement Social Security card for my son and I. I was having a very rough time getting the information online. And the website I was going to were scamming me, saying it would charge me $40 to get a replacement card. So when I called to speak to somebody I was pretty upset and the lady was extremely rude to me. I am having a hard enough time getting my things replaced from my wallet being stolen I do not need somebody sitting at home being rude to me. I’m sure if there was a supervisor at her house she wouldn’t have been rude to me.
