I received my social security check and was startled that my payment was about a $330 reduction. I did some research and learned that there is very little that is permitted to be deducted from an SS payment. Being a lawyer and a Judge I knew that there was no legitimate deduction that could be made. After several calls that I tried with no success, I traveled to the beautiful multi-office at 100 South Clinton Street only to find one person inhabiting the space. She dismissed any acts by Social Security and directed me to the Internal Revenue Service. After a conversation with a representative of the IRS, I was told that I owed nothing to the IRS, and they suggested I check with the State Insurance office. I did and they advised me that there was nothing owed by me which would have permitted the State to lien my monthly payment. You tell me who is wrong? I will visit the Social Security office again.

Your phones are not working correctly. All phone messages cut off at the word fraud and take no voice or key pad commands. I have phone several numbers and many times with the same results today

I am very disappointed in this office. My husband was on SSD and passed away. I notified Social Security and spent over an hour on the telephone giving a lady all of my information to be told I would have another appointment. No call came through and I waited patiently in-line for over an hour to be told that the telephone number they had was incorrect. I then had to give the lady my information all over again, she kept apologizing. She placed me on hold and checked with the office in question who would be calling me and was told they were booking a couple of weeks ahead. That means I have been waiting to be interviewed for over 3 months. I know that you had my information as my husbands SSD payment was stopped. Now it looks like I wont be paid until the Summer. I am appalled at the Service. I have done everything I have been asked and get nowhere. I feel I am being given the runaround.

I was just on the phone with a representative in your Syracuse office discussing how you miscalculated the amount of my daughter's earnings by $500/month more than she actually makes. As the person was reviewing the file, and checking the numbers, I waited quietly, saying nothing, and she just hung up the phone! I mean, come on! I waited almost a half hour to talk to someone.

  5. Jun 7, 2022

I stayed on hold for 40 minutes with occasional interruptions from an operator encouraging me to hold a little longer. Finally they just hung up telling me to call back later.

Can't get through on the telephone. I called a 2nd office, and she threw me on dead air. (Utica NY)

I was approved, did everything they told me to, had my phone call interview receive letters telling me I was approved, however after all that including a phone call I spoke with someone at the Syracuse office that I would be receiving a check starting in the month of September 2021. I have not received anything. So I started calling and found out my worker who I need to talk to never answers her phone, so what do I do now six times I stayed on the phone for over 35 minutes, Hoping someone with an answer but they never do.

I've been trying to reach this office for MONTHS. They're discontinuing my son's payments due to not receiving paperwork that I have questions on how to fill out. I've left MULTIPLE voicemails to MULTIPLE PEOPLE without ANY RESPONSE... OTHER THAN THE DISCONTINUED notice. Every time I call to talk to someone other than his worker, the automated line HANGS UP ON ME! THIS IS SO UNFAIR!

We waited up to the 15 minute limit your recording gave, and then hung up. Just tried your other number to make an appointment and after the message, nothing but silence. I'm just trying to assist my wife in updating her SS account. She just got her citizenship a couple months ago, and her passport two weeks ago. We also tried the appointment number and that woman couldn't answer out question and then she disconnected the call.
