We went to the Topeka SSA office today and everyone was fantastic! The employee that greeted us was very personable and helpful! She made us feel comfortable! We were seen quickly and the employee that helped us with our case was very professional and caring! I’m very impressed with our SSA office!

Hello, I left a Voicemail for a manager that I was transferred to from the main line, whom I was told is the right person to schedule an Appointment with In Order to change my name and my status. This manager was supposedly in the Topeka office and she is the person who can see me to do this. I’m currently in Arkansas and I left a message saying that I’ll be back on topeka for a few days and need to make an appointment- I left name number SS number, status and what I needed. That person called me back to make an appointment at 07:30 in the morning ! When I obviously wouldn’t answer. and basically left me a message to call back to the main line IF I still needed an appointment! Thanks for the waste of Time. As if my time is not important. If I didn’t need an appointment why would I call and leave a message that I need one? Why would you call me at 07:30 if you actually expect me to answer am I identified number at 07:30. I tried to call back but of course the office was closed. Im reporting this because it was done purposely - a person with the intent of getting an appointment scheduled with me would have called during normal business hours and had left a direct number so that I can get back to them.

I need to replace my Social Security card and my disability card how do I do that

  18. Sep 18, 2018

The tips say to call and make an appointment. The estimated hold time on my call before I make an appointment is 1 hour. Really?! I hold for an hour to make an appointment, then go in and wait for my appointment as well? This is my third time calling at different times. I don't feel like the call center here is appropriately staffed.
